Auchan Luxembourg Leaflet Deals: 3 Easy Dinners

Auchan Luxembourg Leaflet Deals: 3 Easy Dinners

I checked the latest Auchan leaflet and noticed good prices on gnocchi, fresh courgettes, and aubergines. That is pretty much everything you need to set up three quick dinners after school or work. Here are my notes on how to turn these promos into solid meals.

Chorizo and courgette crispy gnocchi

From the Auchan leaflet

  • Giovanni Rana Gnocchi cuisson à l'eau 1kg, 1 kg, 4.24 €/kg: €4.23 (was €6.05, 30% off)
  • Courgette pièce: €1 cashback on the 4th €0.99
  • Auchan Chorizo doux x24 120g, 120 g, 15.75 €/kg: 40% cashback on the 2nd €1.89

Shopping for this dish: €7.11 at Auchan, about 20 minutes in the kitchen, 2 servings.

The Giovanni Rana gnocchi and Auchan chorizo are on offer, so crisping them together in a pan makes an easy hot plate. For the pantry side, you only need olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper from your kitchen.

  1. Slice 60 g of chorizo into thin rounds and dice half of the courgette into small cubes.
  2. Heat 15 ml of olive oil in a wide frying pan over medium heat and cook the chorizo for 3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add 500 g of gnocchi and the diced courgette to the pan with 1 minced clove of garlic.
  4. Fry uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi turn golden and crispy outside.
  5. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper before serving hot.

Tuna and aubergine skillet gnocchi

From the Auchan leaflet

  • Giovanni Rana Gnocchi cuisson à l'eau 1kg, 1 kg, 4.24 €/kg: €4.23 (was €6.05, 30% off)
  • Rio Mare Thon à l'huile d'olive 3x80g, 240 g, 25.96 €/kg: €6.23 (was €8.30, 25% off)
  • Aubergine pièce: €0.15 cashback on the 2nd €0.99

Shopping for this dish: €11.45 at Auchan, about 25 minutes in the kitchen, 2 servings.

The gnocchi pack is a full kilogram and canned Rio Mare tuna is discounted, so this is a neat way to use the second half of the pasta. You just need some olive oil, onion, garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper from the cupboard.

  1. Cut half of the aubergine into small cubes and finely chop half an onion.
  2. Heat 20 ml of olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion and aubergine for 8 minutes until softened.
  3. Add 500 g of gnocchi and 1 minced clove of garlic, frying for 8 minutes until the gnocchi are lightly browned.
  4. Drain 160 g of tuna and gently fold the flakes into the pan along with 2 g of dried herbs.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, cook for 2 more minutes until heated through, and serve immediately.

Meatballs with courgette and aubergine

From the Auchan leaflet

  • Courgette pièce: €1 cashback on the 4th €0.99
  • Aubergine pièce: €0.15 cashback on the 2nd €0.99
  • Bigard Boulettes gourmandes au porc et au boeuf 375g, 375 g, 19.60 €/kg: -50% on the 2nd €7.35

Shopping for this dish: €9.33 at Auchan, about 25 minutes in the kitchen, 2 servings.

The Bigard boulettes are in the flyer and using the rest of the courgette and aubergine keeps food waste down to zero. From your pantry, grab olive oil, onion, garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper.

  1. Chop the remaining half of the courgette and the remaining half of the aubergine into bite sized cubes.
  2. Heat 15 ml of olive oil in a deep skillet and brown 375 g of meatballs for 6 minutes, turning them regularly.
  3. Transfer the meatballs to a plate and add half a chopped onion, the courgette, and the aubergine to the hot skillet.
  4. Cook the vegetables for 10 minutes with 1 minced garlic clove and 2 g of dried herbs until tender.
  5. Return the meatballs to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and stir gently for 3 minutes to reheat thoroughly.
