I checked the new Auchan deals in Luxembourg to see what looks good for dinner this week. They have decent prices on ground beef, eggs, and frozen fries right now. I put together three easy meals so we do not have to think too much after school.
Baked Fries with Ham and Cheese

Frozen fries and ready béchamel are both cheap this week, so this is pure comfort food when it gets cold outside. You only need salt, pepper, and dried herbs from the cupboard.
- Spread 500 g of frozen fries onto a baking sheet and bake at 220 degrees for 20 minutes until crisp.
- Dice 120 g of cooked ham into bite size pieces.
- Warm 200 ml of béchamel sauce in a small pan with a pinch of salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
- Place the baked fries into a baking dish, pour the warm béchamel over them, and scatter the ham on top.
- Top with 100 g of grated cheese and grill in the oven for 5 minutes until bubbling.
Beef Patties with Eggs and Cheese

The minced beef pack is a solid deal right now, and melting pizza cheese on top makes it even better. Grab oil, an onion, salt, pepper, and mustard from your kitchen shelf.
- Finely chop half an onion and mix it thoroughly into 500 g of minced beef with salt, pepper, and 10 g of mustard.
- Shape the beef mixture into two wide patties.
- Heat 15 ml of oil in a frying pan over medium high heat and cook the patties for 4 minutes per side.
- Cover each patty with 50 g of grated pizza cheese, put a lid on the pan, and melt for 2 minutes.
- Heat 10 ml of oil in another pan, fry 4 eggs sunny side up, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve each cheesy beef patty topped with two fried eggs.
Smoked Salmon and Cheese Omelette

Diced salmon and fresh eggs make this feel a bit fancy without costing much effort or money. All you need from home is butter, salt, pepper, and some dried herbs.
- Whisk 6 eggs with 50 ml of milk, salt, pepper, and dried herbs in a mixing bowl.
- Melt 20 g of butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Pour in the egg mixture and cook gently while pushing the edges inward until almost set.
- Scatter 90 g of diced smoked salmon and 80 g of grated cheese over the surface.
- Fold the omelette in half, cook for 1 minute until the cheese melts, and divide onto two plates.
