The Delhaize leaflet this week has some solid basics on sale like pasta, sausages, and fresh dough. I grabbed what looked decent to put together four quick meals after school. None of these take very long to cook.
Sausage and Tomato Pasta

Barilla pasta and sausages are both on offer right now, so this is an easy pick for a hearty dinner. From the cupboard, you just need olive oil, an onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Boil 200 g of pasta in salted water until tender, then drain and reserve some cooking water.
- Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet, slice 300 g of sausages, and brown them with one chopped onion and two minced garlic cloves.
- Pour in 400 g of canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Stir the cooked pasta and a splash of cooking water into the sauce to coat evenly.
- Serve hot, topped with 50 g of grated cheese.
Creamy Smoked Salmon Pasta

The smoked salmon is a bit fancy for a weeknight, but the deal makes it worth grabbing. Grab olive oil, garlic, lemon, salt, and pepper from your cupboard.
- Boil 200 g of pasta in salted water until cooked, then drain well.
- Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet and cook two minced garlic cloves for one minute over low heat.
- Stir in 150 g of creme fraiche, heating gently without letting it boil.
- Add 150 g of sliced smoked salmon, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a pinch of pepper.
- Toss the warm pasta into the sauce until coated, then serve immediately.
Crispy Gyros with Warm Pretzel

I saw gyros meat and fresh pretzels in the flyer and figured they would taste great together. You will only need olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon from home.
- Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat.
- Fry 400 g of gyros meat for 8 to 10 minutes until crisp and browned.
- Mix 150 g of Greek style yogurt with one minced garlic clove, a squeeze of lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Warm two pretzels in a dry pan or toaster for 2 minutes.
- Serve the crispy meat alongside the warmed pretzels and cold yogurt dip.
Rustic Ham and Cheese Tart

Fresh dough and ham make a super simple dinner when you do not feel like standing over the stove. The only extra thing you need from the pantry is black pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and unroll one sheet of fresh dough onto a baking tray.
- Spread 150 g of creme fraiche evenly over the dough base.
- Cut 150 g of ham into small strips and arrange over the cream.
- Sprinkle 100 g of grated cheese evenly across the top and season with black pepper.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the edges are crisp and golden brown.
